VMware: The Virtualization Solution

• ESX/vSphere – This is VMware’s virtualization operating system. Versions 3.5 and earlier are called “ESX,” while versions 4.0 and later are named “vSphere.”
• vCenter – This monitoring and management tool is used to manage all aspects of a virtualized environment, including creating new VMs, checking capacity or bringing in additional vSphere servers.
• Site Recovery Manager – For organizations that have two or more data centers in different geographic locations, this disaster recovery system replicates both the data and memory maps of each VM at one data center to a server located at another data center.
• Lab Manager – By automating the process of building virtualized environments, Lab Manager allows you to distribute the management of your vSphere environment to personnel outside of your IT organization.

• Installations and Upgrades - Coyote Creek’s engineers come from the production world, so they understand the importance of keeping your systems up and running during the installation or upgrade process. Our service includes everything from assessment (including analyzing your resource groups, cluster configuration and network configuration, and checking to see if all of your hardware is supported by ESX) and design to project management/coordination and implementation.
• P2V Migration – Coyote Creek’s ability to analyze an organization’s physical environment to predict what will happen in the virtualized environment will help your P2V migration go smoothly. We’ll take care of the entire project for you, including determining which of your servers are good candidates for virtualization and how many ESX servers you will need, planning the migration, and handling all aspects of project management (including scheduling down time and coordinating with all of the affected parties).
