What VMware Can Do for Your Organization
VMware makes it easy for you to reliably run multiple operating systems on a single server. VMware ESX is a “bare metal” hypervisor used to partition physical servers into multiple virtual machines. Each virtual server is a complete system, with processors, memory, networking, storage, and BIOS. In addition, with VMware you can take point-in-time snapshots of your entire system (including the server, operating system, data, and all settings) and revert back to it if necessary.
• Simplify New Server Provisioning – VMware makes it especially easy to provision a new server, as the entire process can be automated. Create a base image, click a button to clone it for the new server, and load up the appropriate software on the new server, and you’re good to go.
