Mike Faster, President of Coyote Creek Consulting, Aiding Fundraising Effort for Local Boy Scout Council

MILPITAS, California, July 10, 2009 – Mike Faster, President of leading Silicon Valley IT consulting firm Coyote Creek Consulting, is proud to serve as a committee member for the Boy Scout Invitational Golf Tournament. Planned to benefit the Santa Clara County Boy Scout Council, the Tournament will be held on Thursday September 24, 2009, at the Cinnabar Hills Golf Club in San Jose.

Mike’s involvement with scouting has been life long. Having achieved the rank of Life Scout during his teen years, Mike has twice served as a Boy Scout leader – once as a younger man and then again with his son’s troop.

“Scouting has had a profoundly positive influence on my life, and I am excited to have this opportunity to give back,” Mike explains. “The values that I learned in Scouting have translated into Coyote Creek’s company values. Integrity, ethics, technical competence (Scouts learn a variety of life skills), customer service – all came from my Scouting experience.”

The Santa Clara County Council is committed to providing programs and facilities that support the year-round activities of scouts of all ages. The many programs and opportunities offered at the Council’s Camp Chesebrough and Camp Hi-Sierra provide a variety of experiences to a diverse population. Activities include Day Camp, Family Camp, the Coyote Creek Cycling Classic, Scout-O-Rama, and more. Leaders of all levels are offered a vast array of training opportunities to ensure that they provide a quality program for their units’ youth.
